Smt.
R. USHA RANI was born to the noble couple of Shri.
Prof.A.V. SUBBA RAO and Smt. KRUPAVATHI in the
year 1954. Her father is renowned for his thorough and deep
knowledge in the subject CHEMISTRY not only in Krishna and
Guntur Districts of A.P. but all over the Coastal belt of
Andhra Pradesh, and he is still very active and energetic in
teaching, popularly known as Organic Subba Rao Garu to his
beloved students who have occupied eminent positions as
Engineers, Doctors, Scientists, IT Professionals etc., in
India and abroad. Her school education is from Missionary
school and completed her Graduation from Mary’s Stella
College, Vijayawada. Inspired by her father, she completed her
Post-Graduation in Chemistry, and worked under the able
guidance of Professor V. Balaiah, the
Ex-Vice-chancellor of Nagarjuna University, and took her
M.Phil. Degree in 1979.
She is married to Shri.
R. RAJI REDDY in the year 1975. He is an Electronics
Engineer and established an Electronics Unit at Kushaiguda
Industrial Estate for manufacturing wireless communication
equipment, antennas etc. He was with NELCO and Hindustan Lever
Ltd., Bombay before starting his career as an entrepreneur.

R. USHA RANI
after her marriage was in studies for about seven years and
joined her husband in Bombay in 1982, where she continued her
Library work in CIBA-GEIGY Bombay towards her research work.
Finally she came down to
Hyderabad in 1983. Before starting Sai-Sudhir Group of
Institutions, she worked as a Lecturer & Principal for about
seven years.
With a view to give shape to her
noble thoughts and ideas, and to implement a unique
methodology in teaching, she established
SAI-SUDHIR
JUNIOR COLLEGE
in the year 1989 and expanded to Degree college in 1992 and
further expanded to Post Graduate college in 1995.
The College has grown from
strength to strength year by year and is quite established
today in the field of education with a vast outstanding record
from the past 18 years.
At the same time, she had
inclination towards social activities where Sai-Sudhir adopted
around 15 villages in Ranga Reddy District and successfully
conducted the camp along with a team of Professors, Lecturers
and students.
She was conferred Rajiv Gandhi
Youth Foundation Award in the year 1992 for her services
for promotion of education. Sri. P.V. Ranga Rao, the then
educational minister felicitated her with the award (File
Photo-1). She is a life member in Red Cross Society, Lady Lion
Member in Lions Club etc.,

She was awarded a Momento of
Appreciation by Shri.Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, the
former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of
Mahila Janma Bhoomi (File Photo-2). She is very much
interested in creation of Swarna Andhra Pradesh and Vision
2020 envisaged by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and participated
in all the Clean and Green and other Janma Bhoomi Programmes
besides encouraging all the students and staff-members to take
part in every social service activity for the welfare of the
students of all sections of the society in general. Every year
free education is offered to few meritorious

INAUGURATION OF RECREATION HALL
AND PANTRY FOR SENIOR DAYCARE & WELFARE ASSOCIATION, ARUL
COLONY
The young world is busy with its
own affairs and amusements, but there is nobody to take care
of the aged. Yes, the aged also need recreation and
friendship. The launching of AASARA by GHMC under the
patronage of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr.Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy,
inspired Shri George D’Cruz, President of Arul Colony to start
a Senior Citizen Daycare and Welfare Association with 120
members, out of which 70 members received the multipurpose
identity cards. It took shape in September, 2007 and within a
year there was a tremendous progress, out of which, the
recreation hall was sponsored by Smt. R. Usha Rani, Chairman
of Sai-Sudhir Group of Colleges-Hyderabad. It was inaugurated
on 5th Nov. 2008 in the presence of Rt. Rev. Dr.
Marampudi Joji - Archbishop of Hyderabad and Sri. Ram Narayan

Apart from this, she participated
in the women’s welfare programme’s and also participated in
the programmes conducted by Women’s Welfare Association – ECIL,
Hyderabad.
Conducted Blood donation
programmes, helped the poor and needy etc.
She is promoting a women’s
Engineering College in the academic year 2009-10 in Hyderabad
for which permission is already received from AICTE – New
Delhi. Her interest is to continue in the service sector and
thereby to serve the society. |
